Important dates for 2024 – Cohort 3 (May)
We highly recommend you to apply to our Chief of Staff School program if:
You have a minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience — ideally in an operational role — and aspire to become a Chief of Staff or up-leveling your skill set as a strategic generalist. Our CoS School is perfect for you to get your foot in the door, learn the right skills and frameworks to kick off your Chief of Staff trajectory and do so alongside a community of peers.
You are looking to or have just landed your first role as Chief of Staff (0-6 months in the role) and you want to ensure you hit the ground running. The CoS School will give you the frameworks and knowledge to build the right relationships, navigate your way through the organization, and deliver outstanding value in your first 90 days.

We know L&D opportunities for startup operators are hard to come by. Thus, CoS School offers L&D financial aid (in the form of program fee rebates amounting to US$200) to existing startup talent working in developing startup ecosystems around the globe*.

Completing the application form will only take about 10-15 minutes. You can find the link at the end of this FAQ section. Application deadline for 2024 Cohort 3 is May 6th.
During the screening process, we carefully assess whether we can genuinely make an impact in your mid-career transition and growth. Our focus is on helping you understand your current generalist capabilities and how you can successfully evolve into a strategic generalist. We take into account your past and current roles in different organizational settings, along with your career aspirations and the trajectory you envision for yourself in the short-, mid-, and long-term, working towards the role of a CoS (Chief of Staff).
In short, we place great importance on understanding your career aspirations, motivation to learn, and career context. Please provide us with as much relevant information as possible in the application form.
You can expect to receive a response from us within five working days after submitting your application.
Possible Outcomes:
Please note that our screening process is rigorous, and we maintain a high standard to ensure a conducive learning experience for all students. As the number of available seats in each cohort is limited, this means we may regretfully have to decline even some outstanding applications.
You have lifelong access to all the curriculum you have learn through the program via our learning platform.
Upon completion of all mandatory courses and assignments, you will automatically earn a verifiable Chief of Staff School certificate that you can share with your professional or online social network, such as LinkedIn.
The certificate can be downloaded as a PDF for safekeeping. All Chief of Staff School certificates are verifiable and have a unique code that future employers can use to authenticate them. The certificate has no expiry date, so you won’t have to repeat the course after obtaining it.
There will be no refund for candidates who already accepted into the school and paid for their program.
You will get a copy of the information you have used to share to us in the application. We do not ask for your any private/sensitive data that is not relevant to the application process into the program. The only contact method we ask for is your email address. The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. We will not share, sell, rent, swap, or authorize any third party to use your email address for commercial purposes without your permission.
The CoS School is co-created by a team of former global tech startup operators and venture community builders at GUIDE in partnership with Ask A Chief of Staff.
